St Patrick's Day is tomorrow and while we can't join in celebrating together by attending Mass, or joining a parade or celebrating in the usual way with our extended family and friends, we can still seek out inspiration.

Attending Mass Online on St Patrick's Day

It would be nice to watch a live-stream celebration of Mass in a special location for this great Feast Day.

Pro Cathedral, Dublin - 10.30 am GMT - mass live stream

Knock Shrine - 12 noon and 7.30 pm GMT - mass live stream

Pope Francis will officially designate Knock Shrine as an International Marian and Eucharistic Shrine on the feast of St Joseph, March 19. It is a beautiful week to be united to Knock where Our Lady, St Joseph, St John the Evangelist, angels and Jesus Christ (as the Lamb of God) appeared on the south gable of the town Church in 1879.

The video message from Pope Francis will be played during Mass at the Shrine at 7.30 pm on March 19.

St Patrick's Church, Downpatrick - 9:30 am & 7:30 pm GMT - mass live stream

Downpatrick is traditionally associated with St. Patrick, who is supposed to have come from nearby Saul to bathe in the waters. St. Patrick’s is said to have blessed the wells.

Writings of St Patrick

Last year, a movie was released on St Patrick called "I am Patrick". While it is true, that any movie on the biography of one person is limited and has its flaws, it does provide us with a greater understanding and appreciation for this man.

Independent of whether you may enjoy the movie or not, the website offers a lovely e-production of St Patrick's writings. If you have never read his writings, it's well worth it.

These writings can be found at -https://www.iampatrick.com/resources/

We hope you enjoy the Feast of St Patrick, from all the team at Beloved :)
