What will we be doing?

  • Entertainment and Team-building Activities.

  • Bake-Off Blitz in Lismullin Cookery School

  • Meditations, with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament

  • Mass on both Saturday and Sunday for those who wish.

  • Philosophy Sessions with Fr Gavan Jennings:

    • What is it to do Philosophy?

      Based on the book by Josef Pieper: Leisure the Basis of Culture

    • What is Love? Philosophy Method

      Socrates and friends discuss what is love in Plato's Symposium

    • What is Friendship?

      Looking at Aristotle's discussion of friendship in his Nicomachean Ethics

7-8pm Registration. Before arriving, please be mindful of the safety measures in place in Lismullin.

Saturday, March 5

Morning

8.45am - Meditation I - Guided Prayer
9.15am - Breakfast
10.15am - Philsophy Session I - What is it to do Philosophy? Based on the book by Josef Pieper: Leisure the Basis of Culture
12.15pm - Holy Mass

Afternoon

1.15pm - Midday Meal
2.30-5pm - Lismullin Cookery School - The Bake-Off Blitz
5.30pm Meditation

Evening

6pm - Dinner (the result of the Bake-Off)
7.30-8.30pm Philosophy Session II - What is Love? Philosophy Method. Socrates and friends discuss what is love in Plato's Symposium
9pm - Entertainment

Sunday, March 6

Morning

9.15am - Meditation - Guided Prayer
9.45am - Breakfast
10.45am - Philosophy Session III - What is Friendship? Looking at Aristotle's discussion of friendship in his Nicomachean Ethics
12.30pm - Holy Mass

Afternoon

1.15pm - Midday Meal
2.00pm - Finish


Throughout the weekend, there is time for spiritual direction and/or to avail of the Sacrament of Reconciliation with the priest.

Each bit of input over the weekend is optional. You can opt in and out of what you find helpful for yourself. Each person is at a different stage of their Faith journey and for that reason, we want to make sure that each person feels free to choose what works best for you during the weekend. We will give you the very best we can offer to find and grow in your relationship with Our Lord.
