Why walk the Camino de Santiago?

Traditionally a religious pilgrimage where throughout the middle ages thousands of pilgrims walked from their homes to make their pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela in the north of Spain, the Camino has become widely popular amongst people from all walks of life.

The Camino is not just one route but is made up of a network of routes, all of which have different starting points. We will be walking the Portuguese Way, starting in Porto. The movie The Way will give you a good idea of the surroundings and the experience.
