What is a Recollection?

A monthly Recollection is a time set aside specifically for a Christian to go deeper into her relationship with God. Although we might spend time in prayer each day, recollection is a time to withdraw a couple of hours from the noise and cares of this life in order to spend some quality time in conversation with God guided by meditation, spiritual reading, and time to avail of the Sacrament of Confession.
