Resources to begin again

Studies have shown that people who make New Year’s Resolution have a great chance of persevering than making a resolution any other time of the year. This short podcast episode from The Diary of a CEO (one of our favourite podcasters!) backs up this theory with scientific proof. Worth the listen!

So in honour of the New Year, we wanted to share with you some things that might be helpful on your journey to creating good habits and eliminating the bad ones.

Digital Minimalism

App to reduce device addiction - minimalist phone: Productivity – Apps on Google Play. Very easy to set up and definitely one of our favourites for totally blocking endless scrolling or whatever you are into!

Book that will convince you to stop - Digital Minimalism: Choosing a Focused Life in a Noisy World by Cal Newport

Documentary that will help you understand the mechanism behind phone addiction - The Social Dilemma.

Goal Setting

Book that goes deeper into habit building: Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones (if you don’t have time to read, although we would highly recommending doing so, you can always watch a YouTube video of a good book summary)

This YouTube - Better Ideas - has great resources to kick-start your desire to complete your goals. Here are a couple we have particularly liked:

Podcast interview with Simon Sinek - Excellent - Simon Sinek: The Number One Reason Why You’re Not Succeeding.
